The Fifties Fair @ Rose Seidler House (Wahroonga) - 26th of August 2012

Photo of Rose Seidler HouseThe Rose Seidler House was the first commission for internationally renowned architect Harry Seidler. He built the house in 1948-50 for his parents Rose and Max, who lived there until 1967. The house is one of the finest examples of mid-century modern domestic architecture. The house, contents and grounds have been carefully restored to the 1950 theme and still contains a collection of original furniture by important post-war designers Eames, Saarinen and Hardoy.

And this Sunday, 26th of August 2012, if you visit the Fifties Fair at the Rose Seidler House, you will be transported back to the good old days of the Fifties era! It will be a fun day celebrating all things 1950s with fashion, entertainment, music and dancing. You will also have the opportunity to shop for vintage wares, from fashion, furniture to kitchenalia or tour the house and check out the original furniture by well-known post-war designers.

And btw, if you come dressed in your best 50s threads, you stand a chance to win the 'best dressed' prize!
